Q & A
Why don’t you add fertiliser to your seed blends?
Fertiliser isn’t required for germination, the seed itself has its own food source. We can then apply fertiliser as required.
Should I apply fertiliser as I spread the seed?
No, when germinating seed the climate in the lawn is very wet, the addition of a fertiliser at that point could increase the chances of creating Pythium spp. a disease which wipes out new lawn seed.
