How to use Spectrum 200SC insecticide?

Spectrum 200SC insecticide needs to be applied to where the lawn grubs are doing the damage. Lawn grubs, like African black beetle larvae eat the roots of the lawn and therefore it needs to be applied to the lawn at the label rate (25ml/100m2) and then watered into the soil where the lawn grubs are. “Watering-in” can be done with a hose or sprinkler, but it’s best to setup a sprinkler and apply 12mm of irrigation. The best way to check for 12mm is to have a old tuna can on the lawn and once it fills up 1.2cm high you are good. The lawn grubs are beneath the surface so you won’t see them die but you should see the damage stop spreading.

The technical stuff

Spectrum 200SC works best when the target lawn grubs, like African Black Beetle larvae, are in their early stages of growth, so it’s critical to apply in early Spring before significant damage occurs. Before you buy Spectrum 200 SC it probably makes sense to understand what the 200 and the SC stand for. It’s very common in professional products for their names to share with the user the concentration and the product formulation type and so the “200” stands for 200g/L Imidacloprid and the SC stands for suspension concentrate, this is a type of concentrate where the active is suspended in water. • Do not let animals feed on the grass
• Store out of reach of children and out of sunlight
• Triple rinse the bottle before disposal
